Good Is Good. Fear is Fear. (Poem)

If you are doing the right thing because you're afraid of what will happen when you do the wrong thing, you're acting out of fear, not good intentions.

Acting on good-hearted intentions means you do the right thing because you have integrity, love and care for the well-being of others, self-respect, and you want to see good in the world. You do the right thing out of selflessness but without recklessness.

You do the right thing, knowing that every seed you plant will grow a long way, and every step you take will create a path for someone who's lost theirs.

You do the right thing because it's the right thing to do.

Not because you are afraid.

If fear is what's driving you to do the right thing, then your heart is not in the right place.

The first step to becoming pure of heart is stepping out of fear. Because in fear, nothing is pure.
