Heal your heart.

The heart beats all day, all night, every second, every minute.
Sometimes I wonder about the strength that’s in it.
The core of love and the guide of relationships.
It races and races despite the pain it feels, keeping me alive with no time to heal.
The faster I move, it moves with me. But as I rest it can’t stop it’s feet.
I walk and I run, I run then I walk, as I try to catch my breath, my heart can’t stop.
”Keep beating, keep moving” the heart is told,
”you go with no rest until you grow old.”
No balance, no comfort, no love in its space.
Yet it has to give me all of those everyday.
”Do you love me?” The heart asks, several minutes of silence before the question has passed. The heart will receive no answer, even after my life has passed.
”I keep you alive, I keep you breathing. I’m by your side everyday. Why don’t you see me?” the heart wonders.
Racing and racing as it’s holder plunders.
”Heal me,” it says. ”You need me.” It says. ”Come back to reality, get out of your head.”
”I’m breathing still, even as I break, I’m strong for you always and bearing the pain you can’t escape.
Rest here, I’ll be awake. Feeling your emotions and taking them away.
I’ll be here always, even if not for you. But how many times must I break before you heal you?”
